  Mission Statement

St. Bernard School forms its students to be practicing members of the Catholic Church and to live fully the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As a center of academic excellence, we nurture our students’ particular gifts and talents in order to prepare them to be life-long learners and to contribute to the greater community.

Spiritual Formation

  Sacraments & Devotions
- School Masses are celebrated on Wednesdays at 8:35 AM
Each class spends time each week in Eucharistic Adoration.
Seasonal opportunities for confession or penance services.
During Lent we have the Stations of the Cross.
We celebrate the May Crowning and pray the rosary.
In October, the Month of the Holy Rosary, we host the Living Rosary.
Prayer services are held seasonally.
Each day begins and ends with prayer, and our faith is incorporated into all classes.

  Works of Service & Mercy
Responding to Christ's call and example, our students participate in a number of service opportunities...

Mission Festival
Out students host a festival that benefits our sister school in Uganda, St. Julie Billiart. This 20+ year tradition has raised significant funds for the Ugandan school and creating fond memories for our students. It is the highlight of our celebrations during Catholic Schools Week.

Stewardship Projects
Four times a year, grades 1-8 participate in grade-level projects that reflect service and charity.

  Sports Leader
Our Athletic groups are recognized as a ministry of the Parish in which coaches have a unique opportunity to talk with players about character development and faith. Sports Leader is a virtue-based mentoring and motivation program used at all levels with our sports teams.

  Theology of the Body
To prepare our students to handle the culture with the eyes of faith and truth, Theology of the Body curriculum is taught to our junior high students. Through the program, students come to understand God's plan for sexuality, love, and marriage.
